Public Works Research Center

ACTA is now helping to level the Public Works playing field.  The Public Works Research Center is designed to find up-to-the-minute information on all public works projects in California.  ACTA's staff will search PW jobs to gather data about the project and check to make sure awarded contractors are playing by the same rules as ACTA members.

Here is what the Research Center can do:

  • Research jobs awarded Statewide
  • Assess winning bids with losing bids for red flags
  • Request and evaluate certified payrolls when warranted
  • Check for apprentice requests
  • Apprentice verification
  • Check for classifications being used
  • Verify Apprentice to Journeyman ratios
  • Verify Proper wage payments
  • File complaints with DIR
